BEYOND Terms of Service

1. Definitions

BEYOND, we, us, our
Refers to Inspiration Education Pty Ltd (ABN 90 164 577 217), trading as BEYOND.

Platform
The BEYOND digital platform available via www.beyond.edu.au and associated domains, including tools, resources, content, and services related to careers and pathways education.

User
Any individual who accesses or uses the Platform, including students, parents, teachers, Careers Advisers, school administrators, and other authorised users.

Subscriber
An organisation or individual that subscribes to optional paid services or premium features offered through the Platform.

Content
All material available on the Platform, including text, graphics, video, data, tools, and software.

Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights associated with the Platform and Content.

Minor
A User under the age of 16.

 

2. Access and Use of the Platform

2.1 General Access

The Platform is primarily provided free of charge to schools and students. Certain features, services, or tools may be offered on a paid subscription basis.

2.2 Licence

We grant Users a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for personal, educational, or internal school use in accordance with these Terms.

2.3 Minors and Parental Guidance

If the User is a Minor, we recommend that access to the Platform occurs with the knowledge and support of a parent, carer, or legal guardian.
Schools remain responsible for determining appropriate access and supervision arrangements for students using the Platform in an educational setting.

 

3. Account Creation and Responsibilities

3.1 Account Creation

By creating an account, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you agree to these Terms.

3.2 User Responsibilities

Users must:

  • Use the Platform lawfully and appropriately

  • Not attempt unauthorised access, reverse engineering, or disruption of the Platform

  • Not upload malicious code or infringe intellectual property rights

We may suspend or terminate access where misuse, security risk, or legal exposure is identified.

 

4. Intellectual Property

All Intellectual Property in the Platform and Content remains the property of BEYOND or its licensors.

Users may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit the Platform or Content without prior written consent, except as expressly permitted for normal educational use.

 


5. Data Ownership and Management

5.1 Ownership of Personal Data

Users retain ownership of their personal information. BEYOND does not claim ownership of user-submitted personal data.

5.2 Use of Data

We collect and use personal information solely to:

  • Provide and operate the Platform

  • Support schools and authorised users

  • Improve services and functionality

  • Comply with legal obligations

5.3 User Rights

Users may:

  • Access and update their personal information

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of their account and personal data by contacting [email protected]

Deletion requests will result in account termination and loss of access to services that require registration.

 

6. AI-Enabled Features

Certain optional features use artificial intelligence tools.

  • AI functionality operates in a closed-loop configuration

  • User data is not used to train AI models

  • Third-party AI providers are contractually restricted from using customer data for training purposes

AI tools are optional and may be subject to separate terms or subscriptions.

 



7. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers to operate the Platform, including infrastructure and hosting services.

Personal information is only shared where necessary to deliver the Platform, comply with the law, or protect users and BEYOND.

All production data is hosted in Australia.

 

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including:

  • Encryption in transit and at rest

  • Role-based access controls

  • Secure Australian-based hosting

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users acknowledge and accept this risk.

 

9. Dispute Resolution and Contact

If you have a complaint, dispute, or concern regarding the Platform or these Terms, please contact:

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform where:

  • These Terms are breached

  • There is a security or legal risk

  • Continued access may cause harm to users or BEYOND

Termination may occur with or without notice, depending on severity.

 

11. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

Users access and use the Platform at their own risk.

 

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Platform.

Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

 

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
